(HMG Celebrity News) – In a bizarre dispute between two of France’s most acclaimed actors, Juliette Binoche has hit back at Gerard Depardieu’s claim that “she has nothing.” It all seemed to start when Depardieu star of “Cyrano de Bergerac” and “Green Card”, made some very off the cuff comments in an interview with an Austrian magazine last week. Without being questioned about the star of the English Patient, the French actor said: “Please can you clarify to me what the mystery of Juliette Binoche is meant to be?”
“I would really like to know why she has been so esteemed for so many years. She has nothing, absolutely nothing.”
He added: “What has she ever had going for her?”
Binoche, who is in Britain to promote “Certified Copy” the new film by Iranian Abbas Kiarostami for which she won the Best Actress award at Cannes, tells ‘Empire’ that she did not feel “wounded” by his claims and wondered if he was suffering from jealousy.
Depardieu has never won an Oscar whereas Binoche won an Academy Award for best supporting actress in the English Patient, released in 1997.
Binoche, who won an award for Certified Copy at the Cannes film festival this year told the Radio 4 culture program: “I don’t know him and I don’t know what I did to him.
“I know that you don’t have to like everyone and you can dislike someone’s work. But I don’t know the violence of his words.
“I reckon it has to do with himself. There’s something going on.”

(HMG Celebrity News) – While newly divorced Tiger Woods may have possibly and possibly not went into a new apartment in downtown Manhattan over the weekend, his numero uno Rachel Uchitel has scored her own place in NY, presumably with the hush money she got out of the affair. The 35-year-ancient Uchitel, who reportedly received more than $10 million to keep her role in the Tiger Woods scandal silent, was allegedly rebuffed when trying to buy the $2 Million condominium located at New York City’s ritzy Park Avenue. The condo board reportedly didn’t allow to enter the building last month, to buy the apartment complete with three-bedrooms and three-baths. But money eventually prevailed and Uchitel has just bought the swanky condo, which also includes a fireplace and “white-glove service” that comes with a doorman, and security. TMZ reports that the asking price on the condo was $2 million, but the New York socialite managed to buy it in a “pretty sweet deal.”
